About Enactus Ramjas

Who are we?

Enactus Ramjas is a vibrant student society at Ramjas College, University of Delhi, committed to nurturing socially responsible leaders and innovators. Over our 10-year journey, our chapter has launched multiple pioneering enterprises tackling urgent crises like seasonal crop stubble burning, toxic cooking oil dumping, neurodivergent educational barriers, and water pollution.

Unlike conventional college societies or charitable trusts, we do not operate on philanthropy alone. We apply commercial market principles and circular economic models to empower marginalized communities, turning waste into wealth, beneficiaries into self-sufficient entrepreneurs, and students into empathetic changemakers.

Real Stories, Real Change.

Each venture incubated under Enactus Ramjas operates as a self-sustaining commercial enterprise designed to solve a critical environmental or human rights dilemma at the grassroots.

Venture 01 • Agro-Valorization • Food Security

Project Waraq.

Every winter, millions of tonnes of paddy stubble are burned across Northern India, causing lethal seasonal smog. Waraq upcycles post-consumer stubble into 100% biodegradable dining tableware embedded with viable vegetable seeds. After dining, plates are planted in mid-day meal school gardens to sprout fresh spinach, herbs, and tomatoes.

Venture 02 • Waste Management • Urban Sanitation

Project Swabun.

Swabun operates a two-pronged circular economy: Avenue Unnati revives the livelihoods of traditional Kumhar Colony potters by crafting 3-tier breathable terracotta composters; Avenue Aaroha upcycles toxic used cooking oil diverted from commercial kitchens into zero-effluent artisanal cold-process soaps.

Venture 03 • Neurodivergent Inclusion • Empathy Design

Project Anubhava.

India faces a hidden epidemic: 1 in 100 children are diagnosed with autism, and 53% face school refusal due to bullying and neurotypical misunderstandings. Anubhava bridges this divide through interactive sensory overload simulators for educators, dyslexia reading tools, and tactile Social Script Builder cards.

Venture 04 • Women Livelihood • Upcycled Fashion

Project Aradhaga.

Project Aradhaga addresses textile pollution and seasonal unemployment by upcycling post-production fabric scraps into premium handmade tote bags, scrunchies, and accessories. We train and employ underprivileged women across NCR, providing steady living wages and financial sovereignty.

Any Questions?

Find clarity regarding social entrepreneurship, student participation, corporate orders, and partnerships.

What is social entrepreneurship? How is it different from an NGO?

Social entrepreneurship is built on the principle of generating revenue to sustain operations while concurrently delivering profound environmental or communal benefit. Unlike traditional NGOs that depend on recurring donations and philanthropy, Enactus enterprises create self-sustaining business cycles that grant long-term financial sovereignty to beneficiaries.

How is Enactus different from other college societies?

Enactus is an international non-profit operating across 35+ countries. Rather than hosting internal college events, Enactus students build real, legal, registered business ventures that directly impact hundreds of underprivileged families, compete at National Expositions, and present on global stages.

Who can join Enactus Ramjas?

All enrolled undergraduate students across departments at Ramjas College, University of Delhi, are eligible to apply during our annual recruitment drives held at the start of each academic semester. We welcome innovators, designers, researchers, and community builders.

Does Enactus Ramjas cater to corporate and bulk gifting orders?

Yes! We actively undertake customized corporate gifting, eco-friendly event merchandise, and bulk orders for companies, conferences, and festivals. Our products include handmade Aradhaga canvas totes, artisanal Aaroha soaps, and biodegradable seed-infused stationery suites.

How can our organization or NGO collaborate with Enactus Ramjas?

To collaborate with Enactus Ramjas for stalls, institutional research, policy trials, or CSR initiatives, reach out to our Public Relations team directly via email or our official social channels.
